If you have registered in Domestika using your Facebook account or Apple ID, your Domestika profile will be associated with the email address that you registered on these platforms. Please remember that all notifications will be sent to this email address, and so you should make sure that it is currently active and that you can access it. If that is not the case, please contact us so that we can help you change your email address.
Once you have confirmed the aforementioned, you can unlink your profile in Domestika from Facebook or your Apple ID and assign yourself a different email address in which you can receive our notifications. You simply would need to follow these steps:
- Sign out of your current session.
- Ask for a new password (given that you have already registered with Facebook/an Apple ID you would not have previously been assigned one) by clicking here. In this section, you should indicate the current email that appears in your account (in the case of it being with an Apple ID, the email address tends to be one created by said platform with the domain @privaterelay.appleid.com).
- Double check the Inbox in your email account as you will receive a message to complete your change of password.
- Click on the button "Change my password" and indicate the password that you wish to assign to your profile.
That should be all! Once you have indicated the password that you want, you can sign in and change the email in your profile from the section Account Settings and access it without any issues.
Please remember that you should confirm the changes through the automatic email that we will send you to your new email address in order to save them.
